Tennessee Pioneers GeoAI-Based Wetland Screening Tool
In partnership with TDEC, Skytec leveraged a GeoAI-optimized version of the Esri Wetland Identification Model, ArcGIS Online, and Experience Builder to develop and deliver a predictive model that maps both existing wetlands and potential restoration areas across the state.
The tool supports a wide range of users—from agencies and planners to farmers and landowners—by providing greater visibility into wetland locations and helping drive more informed decisions. The model identified approximately 1.8 million acres of wetlands statewide, including nearly 800,000 acres that had not been previously mapped.
